Another glorious weekend in Hexham Brass’s summer performance schedule! This time we made a welcome return to the pretty village of Matfen for the annual village fete.
The band entertained the crowds with a varied programme, including beautifully played cornet and euphonium solos in The Shepherd’s Song and Deep Inside the Sacred Temple. All expertly timed to avoid clashing with the important sporting event that day: the Matfen Fete Duck Race. Oh, and I think there was something mentioned about a World Cup quarter final…?
