Happy campers have a right royal do!

Hexham Brass turned out to Bellingham campsite in the glorious sunshine to celebrate the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. As campers sipped on the their Champagne, the band entertained with a selection of tunes (vaguely) linked to the occasion: American classics such as Anything Goes and New York, New York; a Welsh connection with Men of Harlech and the Castell Coch march; and a nod to the establishment with Parliament Street Blues…

As parallels between the programme and the occasion became increasingly tenuous, it was probably fitting to end with the The Great Escape – leaving the happy campers to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Northumberland countryside!
